The development of Picus Sonic Tomograph 1997/98 started as a cooperation project between argus electronic and the Institute for trees and landscape Dr. Gustke GmbH ".
 
The first record for a sound-tomographic calculation was taken in late 1997. In the following months was generated the first Analysis Software and therefore the first Sonic Tomogram of a tree.
